“Fall For Nicksons This Season”

LA GRANGE, Illinois — Nicksons Eatery in Downtown La Grange, Illinois has just launched a new lunch and dinner menu featuring the robust flavors of the fall. Crafted by Chef Nick Baca, the menu offers such tempting dishes as “Braised Beef Short Ribs”, Fall Apart Tender, Horseradish Cream, Fried Quail Egg Over Cheddar Mashed & Served with Roasted Root Vegetables and “Blackened Catfish Fillet” Low Country Raised, Blackened & Served with Cheddar Whipped Grits, Pickled Red Onion, Lemon Caper Sauce, Spinach Salad. Also featured are “The Local Artisan Cheese Board” served with accompaniments, and “The Seasonal Foodie Salad”, Nichols Farm Roasted Beets, Field Greens with Fig Dressing, Pistachios, Wisconsin Feta Cheese.
Nicksons Eatery has made a name for itself with its approach to country cooking with a gourmet slant, focused on the honesty and purity found in fresh and flavorful ingredients.
To complement its new fall menu and cozy atmosphere, Nicksons Eatery, a 2011 Michelin Recommended Restaurant, has also expanded its drink menu – which features an extensive selection of wines, cocktails, martinis and seasonal drinks – to include a larger variety of regional beers. With these exciting additions, the drink menu reflects co-owner Rich Baca’s commitment to offering guests unique, high quality beverages.
New Fall cocktails include “The Pumpkin Mojito” – Spiced Rum, Pumpkin Puree, Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup, Muddled Sage & Fresh Lime, “The Nicksons New Fasioned” – Classic Old Fashioned with a ―twist. Makers Mark, Amaretto, Simple Syrup, Orange Peel and “The Wild Tea Party” – Absolut Wild Tea, Fresh Lemon Juice, Honey Simple Syrup, Shaken, Served Over Ice.
The new regional specialties pair well with Nicksons regional microbrews served in frosted mason jars. New additions to the microbrew menu include “Victory Pale Ale” from Emmets Brewery (Illinois), “Mud Puppy Porter”, from Central Waters Brewing (Wisconsin), “Original Sin Hard Cider”, (New York) and “Best Brown Ale” from Bells Brewery (Michigan). The featured seasonal beer is “Pumpkin Beer”, O’Fallon Brewing Company (Missouri). Nicksons Eatery will also feature live music throughout the fall months.
